Avenue Q

by Robert Lopez & Jeff Marx Book by Jeff Whitty

AVENUE Q is a laugh-out-loud musical that tells the story of a recent college graduate named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment on Avenue Q which is home to some lively and off-the-wall characters performed by an unholy comedic alliance of humans and puppets!

Life may suck on AVENUE Q but being homeless, politically incorrect and having sex ( … and that’s just the puppets) are just some of the topics featured in the terrific songs of this show.

Cross Sesame Street with South Park and slap on a Government Health Warning that too much laughter can make your sides ache and you’ve got AVENUE Q.

It’s amazing what you can get away with when you’re fuzzy and cute!

BETTY BLUE EYES

Alan Bennett’s "A Private Function" is given the musical comedy treatment in this hilarious and touching tale of 1940s Britain.

Belts are being tightened and the country’s long-suffering citizens are being told that there will be fair shares for all in return for surviving Austerity Britain. It is, of course, 1947 and the country is staggering under the burden of acute rationing, unemployment and the coldest winter for decades.

The only bright spark on the horizon is the impending marriage of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip …..

Into The Woods

by Stephen Sondheim

Fairytales come to life in the most unlikely of places.

Stephen Sondheim’s classic, award-winning musical, Into the Woods, brings together well-known fairy tale characters, but ‘Happily Ever After’ turns out to be far from the end of the story.

Whilst all the elements are there – a golden slipper, corn-yellow hair, a milky-white cow, a blood-red cloak, magic beans and, of course, the curse of a witch – the familiar find themselves in very unfamiliar circumstances.

Prepare for a musical full of wit and intelligence that is far more than ‘Once upon a time…’

Featuring the timeless songs Children Will Listen and No-one Is Alone, this Tony Award-winning musical was recently made into a successful Disney feature film starring Meryl Streep, James Corden and Johnny Depp.
